Claire Burns - President

Claire Burns is a Toronto based queer actor, director, producer and theatre creator. Claire holds an HBA in Political Science and History from the University of Toronto as well as a degree in Classical Performance from George Brown Theatre School. Claire is a Board Member of the Storefront Arts Initiative and Generator. Claire is committed to reducing how discrimination based on race,gender expression, sexuality, ability and mental health manifests in theatrical ecology and practice. Claire is a community organizer working to produce and tour live performances throughout Canada.

Lina Beaudin - Secretary

Producer – Creative Director – Production and Technical Direction – Entrepreneur  

With over 20 years of international success in arts and culture, Lina Beaudin has become a veritable leader and visionary in entertainment, playing a vital role in bringing to life diverse and dynamic cultural moments and productions. Innovative, resourceful, and authentic – Lina is a passionate, big picture thinker whose comprehensive knowledge of production, operations and logistics, unique creativity, and technical expertise deliver one of a kind experiences that genuinely connect with their audiences. 

Over the course of her career, Lina has led projects for clients including Heritage Canada,  WE.org/Free the Children, the Canadian Football League, Seattle Seahawks, Pride Toronto, Global Citizen,  Just for Laughs Festival, Pop Montréal, City of Toronto, Live Nation, Telus, Canadian Music Week, Festival Santa Teresa, MLSE  and many more.  

She has worked alongside world leaders, award-winning talent and has produced unique show moments merging dance, visual arts, orchestras, choirs and interactive technologies with musical artist. She has managed productions, designed stages or produced shows with musical artists ranging from: Hip hop artists like Jay-Z, Macklemore and Kendrick Lamar to iconic pop stars like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Shawn Mendes, Bruno Mars and Miley Cyrus. Some others include: Pink Floyd, Daniel Caesar, Arcade Fire, Angelique Kidjo, Jennifer Lopez and Patrick Watson. 

Beginning her career in Montreal, QC – at a young age, Lina quickly proved herself as an ambitious, natural leader. At 23 she was managing comedy tours across Canada and by 25, she was the Director of Logistics and Hospitality for Just For Laughs International Comedy Festival, the largest comedy festival in the world, while also moonlighting as an Event Producer and Production Manager for concerts and special events across the city.  

She spent the next 6 years producing and managing productions such as: Much Music Video Awards and the Grey Cup Halftime shows, managing tours for internationally renowned acts, led production management for the Air Canada Centre (now Scotiabank Arena) in Toronto, plus producing experiential marketing activations, large scale live shows and television shows like We Day. 

In 2011, Lina took on the role as the Executive Director and Show Producer for We Day.  Under Lina’s leadership, what began as a one-off arena show transformed into a global phenomenon. With increased creative vision/cohesion, production value and a dynamic stage show – as Executive Director, Lina led the stage and show production expansion from 2 shows in the GTA to 16 cities internationally, capturing the attention of A-list celebrities and talent, filling stadiums across Canada, the UK, and the US with over 20,000 youth, and reaching millions with national televised broadcast specials.  

Today, Lina is the Founder of the Toronto-based creative studio Nordest, where she Spearheads projects and provides consultation for clients in the corporate and cultural space.  With an entrepreneurial spirit and endless creative solutions – she’s always ready for the next great challenge and ready to spearhead projects that are creatively meaningful .
